Best Summer Sausage
Johnsonville brand Summer Sausage is the only brand we buy. The closest retailer we have found is over 100 miles from our home in Waterloo IA. The local stores carry shrink wrapped-type products and we prefer the type that has the casing-type cover, no plastic.
This product has a somewhat drier texture than other sausage brands and seems to have a lot less fat content. Most other brands leave you feeling that you spent a good bit of money for a tube full of flavored grease!
Because of the current gas prices, we are very thankful for on-line shopping!
